Searching information and building reports are both tasks that need a lot of time to accomplish. So why strain yourself from doing it repeatedly for the same thing? This is why NetSuite built a feature that lets you go back to your saved searches and reports anytime.

In this blog, you’ll learn how to navigate around and fully utilize the saved searches and saved reports.

I suggest you watch the video. It’s easier to understand if you are a visual/audio learner. The content below is the same as the video. It’s for those who learn by reading.

Navigating Saved Searches

Going through your saved searches lets you save time, especially if you do searches for almost the same items. If you have saved a custom search, it will also appear here.

To go to saved searches, follow these steps.

  • Log in to NetSuite.
  • From the homepage, go to Reports.
  • Select Saved Searches and then you’ll see a list of all the saved searches.

This is how it looks like.

At the bottom of the list is an arrowhead pointed downward. You can click on this to see more of your selection.

Navigating Saved Reports

Viewing the saved reports is similar to saved searches. Just follow these steps.

  • Log in to NetSuite.
  • From the homepage, go to Reports.
  • Select Saved Reports and then you’ll see a list of all the selections under saved reports.

If you have created any custom reports, you can also see those customized reports here in the Saved Reports tab.

Utilizing Default Reports

You should explore NetSuite’s canned or pre-built default reports. They work as a very good foundation you can start with if you want to customize.

In case you already have a base of four to five fields, you can just add it to any default report to complete it. You’ll still save time instead of starting from scratch.

Below is an example of some of the standard reports under Financial.

You also need to be aware that the reports you see in this menu depends on your permission. You may not have visibility to some reports because of your role.

If you think that there’s a certain report that you know exists and you need it for your job, go ahead and contact your system administrator and request them to grant you access.
