Business Process Reengineering

We approach business process reengineering projects by first understanding the current state to identify bottlenecks and pain points. In collaboration with management, we analyze and prioritize key issues. From there, we design and implement revised internal controls and workflows. Once implemented, we help document the new procedures and provide training.

Here are examples of business process reengineering projects:

Case Study 1: Merger & Acquisition Integration

A Fortune 500 client had completed an acquisition and needed the subsidiary to comply with strict corporate accounting and internal reporting requirements. We re-designed the accounting close and FP&A processes to meet corporate monthly reporting deadlines. During this integration, our staff worked on immediate accounting priorities while the management team determined its long-term personnel needs. This intense effort involved constant communication and collaboration with the client's Finance and Accounting management as well as its Information Technology teams.

Case Study 2: Business Process Improvement

In another case, we had a client with international operations that was exploring ways to automate processes for future growth. Our team of Mandarin-speakers, along with the client's IT expert, traveled to China to assist with this system implementation. Our local language skills, combined with our strong business process and auditing knowledge, resulted in an accurate understanding of the existing processes and operational challenges. We were able to propose ways to streamline the process.
